Thanks, Ross and Deborah, for the replies! No worries about the locations, I was just curious. I am totally interested in taking part in this effort but had to miss last week's meet-up due to my wife's illness and me taking over baby duties. :) Apologies if I created any scheduled attendees discrepancy count.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the suggestion. We've had meetings in Novi and Livonia in the past, but didn't see any increase in meeting attendance from people who lived or worked in other parts of town. In fact, the people who attended the meetings in Novi and Livonia were people who traveled from Ann Arbor, Saline, Ypsilanti, and Canton.

If you're looking for groups in the northern Detroit burbs, depending on your interests, you may want to check out the Adobe Users Group at http://www.detmmug.com that meets at ePrize in Pleasant Ridge, or the Detroit Area ColdFusion Group at http://www.detcfug.org/cfug/.

I've attended the Adobe Users Group (formerly Detroit Macromedia User Group) meetings several times. The drive can be challenging on I-696, but they have some great topics, presenters, and product giveaways.

We used to have meetings at all different locations, but those that we have talked to said that having them in a different location each time probably hurts our repeat membership. Since our strongest member base is in Ann Arbor we decided to keep them more Ann Arbor local, however if the membership base changes I am sure we would be able to move the meeting location.

I'm going to try and make this event, but it's always tough getting to Ann Arbor from the north side of town (Oxford, Auburn Hills, etc).

Any chance future events being held at a more central location, like Novi, Southfield, etc?

Thanks!
