Great night at Tio’s last night where the first meeting for Refresh Detroit was held. While a small number of people attended, the topics were varied as we discussed usability, podcasts, accessibility, clients expectations, corporate challenges in accepting web standards, and upcoming conferences.
Thanks to Ross and Dennis for organizing the event – it’s great to meet others who share the interest and enthusiasm in building accessible, usable websites with web standards.
Plans were made for the next meeting (mark your calendars for October 25 at 6:30PM in Brighton) as well as spreading news about the Refresh Detroit group, articles for the Refresh Detroit website, and possibly presentations at upcoming meetings.
